Larry Ausubel is Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland and President of MDI. He has provided expert auction consulting to MCI, US AirWaves, MobileMedia, and Industry Canada in various spectrum auctions. He has recently suggested a new auction design for entry capacity in the United Kingdom gas pipeline system. Professor Ausubel has published widely on spectrum and other auctions, bargaining, industrial organization, and financial markets. He has also testified before the U.S. Congress and the National Bankruptcy Review Commission as an expert on bankruptcy issues, and in court as an economics expert. Before joining the University of Maryland faculty, he taught at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Professor Ausubel received his A.B. in Mathematics from Princeton University, his M.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University, his M.L.S. in Legal Studies from Stanford University, and his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.
