Motty Perry
Principal
Motty Perry is Professor of Economics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Principal of
MDI. Before joining the Hebrew University faculty, he
was Assistant Professor at University of Chicago and Tel Aviv University. He
also held the positions of visiting professor at Harvard University, University
of Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania State University. Most recently he has
provided expert auction consulting services to the Israeli Finance Ministry on
designing the LMDS auction. Professor Perry's research focuses on auctions,
bargaining, and mechanism design. Most of his recent work has addressed design
and incentive questions in auctions and bargaining. He has published widely on
auctions and related topics. He received his B.A. in Economics from Bar-Ilan
University, M.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Ph.D.
in Economics from Princeton University.
